Fun fact: I love learning cool and unique things about animals. Did you know that humpback whales compose songs together across entire oceans?
More About Me...
Being a human can be overwhelming. Life is painful, beautiful, disastrous, and joyful, all at once. I believe that when we learn to embrace the pain, grief, and sorrow we encounter in our lives, we also gain access to true joy and connection. Even the parts of ourselves we struggle with the most have something profound to teach us. But it can be hard to navigate all of these complexities alone. I believe my role as a therapist is to help you engage with life, yourself, and others in new ways. I aim to help you access your inner wisdom, increase your self-awareness and self-compassion, and learn new and better skills to manage any challenges that arise.
I am a humanistic therapist who works with adult individuals and couples struggling with relationships, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of trauma. My orientation to therapy is attachment-focused and trauma-informed. I help you heal the wounds that have led you to build defenses, so together we can uncover the authentic, connected self beneath them. I identify as a queer, multiracial woman and aim to be anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirmative in all of my work. Folks who struggle to let others in, feel anxious in relationships, neglect their personal needs, or are called “too sensitive” often say they find our work together rewarding.
I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities (Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing) to create experiences in session where you can connect to your body, emotions, and parts of yourself you’ve kept hidden, even from yourself. If you’re journeying as a couple, this may look like learning to share and connect in new, more vulnerable ways. This may feel strange, exciting, scary, raw, embarrassing, revolutionary, or all of the above! Whatever you feel, it is my job to hold this space for you with tenderness and stability, and to explore and uncover at a pace that feels right for you. These therapeutic experiences help you build more flexibility, creativity, and resiliency in all aspects of your life.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy reading, hiking, singing, playing card games with my family, learning about the Enneagram, and making art of all kinds.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to uncover the trust, confidence, and peace of mind you’re seeking.

“‘Circe,’ he says, ‘it will be all right.’ It is not the saying of an oracle or a prophet. He does not mean that it does not hurt. He does not mean that we are not frightened. Only that: we are here. This is what it means to swim in the tide, to walk the earth and feel it touch your feet. This is what is means to be alive.” – Madeline Miller, Circe
