I became a therapist because I believe humans to be complex and resilient!

More About Me...
I have been where you are—lost, scared, and unsure—yearning for change but feeling overwhelmed by the weight of that desire. Taking those first steps toward healing can indeed feel crushing; it demands an extraordinary amount of bravery and courage. However, I want to reassure you that this journey is not just risky; it is profoundly worth it.
Once upon a time, I was a nuclear medicine technologist, deeply immersed in the realm of diagnostics and healthcare. My days were filled with intricate machinery and the pursuit of clarity through imaging. Yet, amid the beeping monitors and sterile environments, I discovered a profound truth about human connection: we all need to be seen and heard. Each encounter with my patients illuminated a different aspect of this need.
Some patients arrived burdened by pain, longing for someone to talk to—someone who would listen without judgment as they expressed their fears. Others silently carried their struggles; they didn’t seek words but rather the comforting presence of another human being beside them. And then there were those who craved contact, a gentle touch that reassured them they were not alone in their journey.
It was during these moments that I began to recognize my own longing for deeper connection and understanding, which eventually set me on an unexpected path towards becoming a therapist. My experience as a technologist taught me that healing goes beyond the physical; it encompasses the emotional and psychological dimensions of our existence. Now, as I walk alongside you in your healing journey, I am grateful for every lesson learned in those years—the truths we share remind us that honoring our past allows us to embrace our present selves fully. Together, we create space for stories yet untold while mending what has been frayed or lost along the way.
When I meet with clients, my approach is rooted deeply in empathy and acceptance. I often bring some humor into our sessions, accompanied by a vast reservoir of love and understanding. My ultimate goal is to help individuals, couples, and families reconnect—not just with each other but also with themselves. Viewing our human experience through an attachment lens allows me to foster a deeper understanding of your needs and emotions.
Listening closely and empathically allows me to guide you as you begin to heal. My mission is not just about addressing issues; it’s about empowering you toward spiritual, emotional, mental, and relational wholeness. Drawing on my experience in wilderness treatment, I have seen the transformative power of nature’s impact on mental health. I often incorporate experiential practices into our sessions because they can be profoundly grounding.
Together we will work towards rediscovering your path—one that leads back to self-acceptance and deeper connections with those who matter most in your life. While the journey may be challenging at times, remember that every step forward is worth it; you’re building a future filled with hope and possibility.
As we embark on this journey together—be it individually or as part of a couple or family—I want you to know that you are not alone in your struggles. It is an honor for me to walk alongside you during this transformative process.
