At Mending Roots Healing Center we are guided through a deep and unwavering belief in the healing power of families.

We work from an attachment orientation and believe relationship to be the vehicle for change.

Accessing, processing and connecting family members through the power of emotional experience promotes healing and fosters a family’s resilience to the everyday and unexpected challenges of life.

Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is a model of practice, based on conceptualizations of family distress and love through an attachment lens. EFFT provides a highly effective roadmap to help families clarify emotional signals they send to one another, de-escalate, and move out of negative interactional patterns that threaten their experience of security and connectedness.

EFFT is collaborative and respectful of clients. It combines experiential techniques with structural systemic interventions.

We would be honored to help your family feel more connected and secure!

“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible-the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.” – Virginia Satir
