Therapist (she/her)

Fun fact: My favorite food is a soft pretzel with mustard, and my family has been known to gift me clothing and accessories with pretzels on them.

More About Me...

When I started a graduate program in social work, I had no intention of becoming a therapist. I felt passionately about social justice and interested in the way us humans are impacted by the systems we navigate, from our immediate family dynamics to broader social and political structures. I started gaining work experience in medical social work, hospice care, and family case management. The path I began to follow was guided by a deep care and appreciation for every person I encountered in my work. This is what led me here.

I probably have been in a similar place to where you are. If you are asking how it could possibly be helpful to work with a therapist, I have voiced this question to myself. If you feel afraid of the vulnerability of being seen, I have shared this fear. My work as a therapist is grounded in a trusting and caring relationship with each individual I meet.

My goal is to walk alongside, not to lead. I believe each of my clients is an expert on themselves and my role is to be compassionately curious about where they want to experience change in their lives and then work with them to create this shift.

My clinical approach leans heavily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I work with clients ages twelve and up experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I am passionate about treating trauma and have a certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. I work to support my clients in understanding the impact of traumatic experiences on their cognitive functioning and explore the way trauma affects how they relate to themselves and the world around them.

Outside of  work, I love to be outdoors and especially enjoy running, biking, and hiking. I am (slowly) learning to knit and have a goal to create a blanket! I also have two dogs that I love to take to the dog park and on walks.
